American Boat and Yacht Council ("ABYC")

ABYC – American Boat & Yacht Council – is a not-for-profit membership organization that has been developing and updating the safety standards for boat building and repair for nearly 50 years. ABYC is actively involved with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is a leader in education for the marine industry, as well as certification programs for marine technicians.

Kevin McGoldrick has passed the qualifying exam conducted by the ABYC for Standards Accreditation.  This distinction demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of ABYC standards and their application on small craft.

Society Of Accredited Marine Surveyors ("SAMS"®)

Founder of McGoldrick Marine Surveying, LLC, Kevin McGoldrick SA, is a member in good standing in the Society Of Accredited Marine Surveyors.  The members of SAMS are required to meet strict professional, technical, and ethical standards.  SAMS members are committed to enhancing the profession of marine surveying, avoiding prejudice, conflict of interest, and maintaining professional independence.

When you choose a US Surveyors member you can be assured you have chosen a trained, educated and qualified surveyor who has met strict standards for membership in the only organization that provides ongoing college level coursework and education for members. 

As a member of USSA, Kevin McGoldrick has achieved the following:

• Completed and passed rigorous marine surveying course work and examination.
   

• Completed, passed and received the only US Coast Guard approved similarly qualified inspector examination for Fishing Vessels Safety.
   

• Provided sample surveys and resume held on permanent file at headquarters.
   

• Agreed to abide by US Surveyor's national code addressing Customer Service, and Refunds based on survey performance.

Society of Boat & Yacht Designers

The Society of Boat and Yacht Designers is an organization of designers, engineers, boat builders, surveyors, and others interested in the design and construction of small craft -- sail and power yachts, as well as small commercial vessels.  The goal of the Society is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information relative to the small craft marine industry, through meetings, tours, seminars, and publications.
